TOPIC: Last weeks class

I know I learn something new in every class (even when I am not sure what it is), but last weeks class was particularly unique for me. Closing our eyes and listening to F.M. play the lead, while we tried to anticipate chord changes seemed to take it to a level that was very helpful me...It seems to help with learning to feel the song and the direction it is taking. I would like to see more of that stuff.

That definetly helped me too. It's easy when the changes are within a 1-4-5 progression but, when minors are involved it gets a little tricky, especially when the change comes in the middle of a measure.

I hear the chord change way after it happens and struggle to get back to the proper chord. The exercise in closing your eyes made me concentrate a whole lot more and was indeed helpful. I would like to do this more in future classes.

Ya'll closed your eyes last week?????? OMG!!! I'm afraid I would fall asleep...and I know Hogpaws would certainly do so!!!

But, it works.

I resent the implication that I would fall asleep. I feel that would be a perfect time to get everyone to do as I do, rest your eyes while participating fully in the class! Sounds interesting.
