TOPIC: ear

ear 15 years 8 months ago #2793

I still spaz out on my leads etc. But my music ear is improving. Dare I say I can actually hear cord changes and timing. Some times I can even hear what cord comes next. I scare myself.

That is awesome!! I keep hoping that my Father's natural musical ability has been passed on to me but it looks like I may have to work at it a bit harder than he did...........

I don't think I have much "natural" ability with music, but I do find myself hearing things differently now. I also can often hear when chord changes are coming. Now if I can just get my fingers to make the chords. :)

If i could just get there without tripping over the strings....I often thought playing a bass would be easier cuz theres less strings, but i'm now convinced there are no easy tradeoffs in music.

I am just getting to the point where I can hear when to make chord changes. But if I would know what chord to change to, and get my fingers to co-operate and move to the correct chord, then that would make my day.
