TOPIC: Blues Class Summary 09 30 14

We played “You Can Shake It, You Can Break It”.

We worked on the lead, the melody, and the rhythm pattern. We talked about the history of the song, and the importance of timing.

There is some history on the song in Fretmentors blog.

Our homework is to continue to work on the song this week. Read the history. Listen to some recordings of it. Get a feel for it. Look at the Lead part. Work on the rhythm.

We are treating this class just like the bluegrass class, in that we have songs to work on for each week.
