TOPIC: ARTISTS FOR A CAUSE!

Terry Barber who is in charge of the local "Artists for a Cause" contacted me and asked if we could have a group "perform" on Saturday November 10th at 3:00pm at the Edward J Healey Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on 45th Street. The facility requested a lively group and that's why he thought a Bluegrass group would be best for them.
Hogpaws and I are willing and ready to go but we would like more people from class to come along too. I'll make up a playlist from the songs we play in class and will NOT deviate from it . If you feel comfortable taking a lead you are welcome to and if you want to just play back up that would be great too. As most of you know Hogpaws and I do something similar in Baton Rouge and it's very rewarding....a little different as we actually do a sing-along but these facililties and their residents are always soooooo grateful to have anyone visit them that once you do it you want to continue. I would encourage students to assist with this effort by Tigerpaws and Hogpaws. It is not only good experience for you all but as Tigerpaws mentioned it is for a good cause.

I will certainly try to make it. I'll have to check with the chauffeur (my mom:)) to make sure, though.
I'll also have to see if I can be in class on the 7th to make sure I'm ready. I'm signed up to help with stuff at AWANA this wednesday already, so I can't make it this week. I'd LOVE to be a part of this, though.
