TOPIC: Does this happen to you?

I think the point about memorization is very important because one of my issues is that I have a hard time hearing what I am playing. If I were more comfortable with playing from memory, hearing the notes or seeing the notes would not be so important. I think that is why Dave insists that we do not use our TABs while playing in front of the class.

Banjochick is right on this one....just keep picking and listen to so many that have gone before us, that they went thru it too...I get so nervous that my right hand almost shakes the picks off, I feel physically impaired, then the recognition of that makes me forget where I and the band are in the tune....start getting a little more comfortable after I get into part two of my break....

there is not a musician around this has not happened to... don't worry, playing music is about being in the momemnt and creating...if you get confused listen to the music play....
