TOPIC: "Soul Cake"

This is a cd of mostly traditional English music sung over the centuries around holidays. Soul Cake, to me is the best one on the cd and to me relates to the tradition of original bluegrass. By that I mean in this song I can hear where bluegrass comes from. It uses the same instruments. Also, on you tube, listen to the actual recorded version by clicking on Soul Cake, rosapurpurea, Oct. 23, 2009. It's a recording of Soul Cake from the cd, set to a montage of photos of Sting....listen to it through to get the full effect of the instrumentation. Especially mompodell, who I think will appreciate the fiddle playing.

Thanks, I do like STING (minus the beard!) and would love to hear the rest of the CD...The fiddle playing was nice.....Something to aspire to.
