TOPIC: playing in front of the class

I find that the hardest thing about playing in class is to be relaxed and still have a few neurons firing so I can remember the music. Like golf or fly casting I think you have to get good enough so you are mostly on autopilot and only have to think of a few "swing thoughts."

perhaps if you trying to impress someone else rather than just playing music...as miles davis said "don't worry about the wrong notes, there are none"

all there is to do in music, is to listen and speak (through your instrument) when appropriate....

be present...if you are worring about the note you just "missed" then you are dwelling on the past...and no longer listening and playing music NOW !!!
