You bought well with your Sullivan, both in terms of the instrument and the company behind it. I know, I have two. I've met both Jeff and Eric, and you'll never do business with two nicer guys. There are a lot of folks on the Hangout and other places that will quickly point out that you can buy a fancier banjo, but not a better banjo than the Festival. Don't be bashful about picking up a different instrument if you come across one. We bought the first mandolin on a lark, and three years later Pinky is pickin' it pretty good. You'll be surprised at how quickly you can learn the basics of a new instrument. If you find a decent fiddle at a garage sale, go for it!
