TOPIC: What Banjo do you play?

Everybody starts somewhere: I just bought my 1st banjo at a yard sale - a NorMa 5 string blue grass for $30. I borrowed a few books at the library and have successfully restrung it. I am now struggling to tune it. I hope I can learn---I played guitar about 30 years ago, before I got waylaid by karate and teaching.

There is no substitute for quality. I spent countless hours on my first banjo, an oriental masterclone, trying to make it sound like something it was not.

For a year I played a aluminum pot Aria. Now I have a Sullivan Festival and love it. I'm seriously considering using my neck from my Aria and making one of these gas-can banjos! Here is a video of a gas-can banjo:
