That was AWESOME! He made that banjo "talk"....I didn't know a banjo could make all those sounds....or I should say I didn't know a "banjo player" could make a banjo produce all those sounds! WOW!

Yeah, I really like Raymond Fairchild's banjo pickin that I've come across. He obviously combines Scruggs and Reno style like no one I've ever heard. Search his name on YouTube for other stuff. Here are a couple more of my favorite YouTube videos of Fairchild's that are cool:

Yeah, I'd have a big ol' smile on MY face too. Funny thing though about these Fairchild videos, is that he seems to NEVER smile! There is a video that looks somewhat more recent and he smiles, but his playing has slowed down tremendously...but he does smile throughout the video at least!
