TOPIC: Esperanza Spalding at PBCC

Anyone going to see her tomorrow (Sat) night? She's really great. A bass player/jazz musician/singer, very original. I'll be going- it's at the Duncan Theater at PBCC in Lake Worth. Of course I'm prejudiced as she's a bass player!! And an amazing one.

Example, from a White House performance recently, a great Stevie Wonder song cover. Fantastic vocals and top flight instrumentalist.

WOW!! She plays electric fretless bass guitar equally well. A true up and coming superstar.

Esperanza Spaulding has a great voice, is charming, and can do cool things with her hair! I loved when she played Brazilian jazz.... Not a lover of modern jazz, the music became "noise" - as it turned into a cacophony of sounds that I found hard to follow.
