TOPIC: YEEHAW JUNCTION BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

JUST A NOTICE TO THE FOLKS FOR JAN 28-31. NOT TOO FAR AWAY AND CLOSE BY... IF THAT MAKES SENSE. I MAY EVEN PLAN TO SPEND THE NIGHT..THAT MAY NOT MAKE SENSE.

Buzzart - Thanks for helping to keep the class informed and updated on music venues. I seem to forget about them unless I am reminded several times - it must be my busy retirement schedule! So, please continue!

Heard a lot of good bluegrass under the big tent at Yeehaw on Friday.I think Bluegrass sounds good under the tent. Nothing Fancy was one of the headliners. I could not stick around for all the jamming that goes on at night..next year i will plan on setting up a little campsite. The venders provided some interesting shoping opportunities. One guy brought along about ten different basses to try. Took a few picks on a couple of different banjos. I am still getting a feel for the different banjo sounds. But none felt as good as the Stelling.

I didn't get to go to this festival, but agree that Nothing Fancy is a terrific band. I hope they played "Lovers Concerto" while you were there, brilliant!
