TOPIC: Nashville number system

No no, I meant heavy metal and things like that. We live below the Mason Dixon line; we can play as much southern rock as we like on what ever instraments we like.
As far as replacing the lead with a fiddle, one can also do that with the vocal part, replacing it with the fiddle that is. I've done that before with Coldplay's Viva la Vida. I want to try and see how some others would sound with fiddle. Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day sounds pretty good with it. I want to to try some other tunes too. What would some other songs that might work??

The more I play around with the Nashville numbering system the more I like it. Still a lot more to learn.

Yo tambien! The first 3 lessons I thought it was going to be hopeless. Repetition helps; practicing. And if you don't know what you're doing, it'll stick if you play it enough! And you can apply the interval breakdown when trying to figure songs out on the instrument, like, "It's the 3rd, dummy! It goes HERE." Practicing, playing, listening, studying, brooding.... it all helps!

The Nashville Numbering System seems like one of the most useful things FM's taught me. It really opens up the fingerboard and helps me to understand the theory behind the tunes.

Thanks for the advice, MMandy. Right now it seems like there's a bit more brooding going on than anything else as far as the numbering system goes. Guess that's where I need to focus on being stubborn. Some how I seem better at being stubborn with everyhing other than that.
