TOPIC: Chord names for the hearing impaired

Re:Chord names for the hearing impaired 14 years 7 months ago #1938

Espian....the way I see it is if one doesn't know the melody of the song, (as I usually don't since I'm not familiar with most Bluegrass tunes) we are pretty much winging it and sometimes we hit it right and most of the time we/I don't....sometimes when Dave is calling out the chords it's really for a 1/2 measure....I'm usually not prepared for that...after hearing the tune a few times then things begin to fall in place....so my suggestion is to listen to the melody until you become familiar with it and if you have to "stand up"....then take that as a way to practice playing while standing...
