TOPIC: Alternate Tuning

I'm counting on his having a typical "male" memory and forgets he read all these by the time he sees me next.....(again shhhhh! )

One of the things I like best about playing is creating new music or coming up with a new variation to an old song. This tuning has many avenues to explore.
oops, I was supposed to be practicing Dark Hollow.

You know, you really should be playing instead of staring at this computer!

Big fan of alternate tuning! My favorite is open C as follows...

Drop the low E string by one and a half steps...one full octave below middle C.

Drop the A string by one full step to G.

Drop the D string by a whole step to C.

Leave the G string as it is.

Raise the B sting by a half step to C.

Leave the high E string as it is.

Bron yr aur, Aint gonna cry no more, and other songs use this tuning.

Actually I consider it a major breakthrough when we're all tuned to the same thing! Don't know what I'd do with some other tuning, but I guess I'll have to investigate that.

i say if you cant do it with a capo dont bother
