I bought one in NC from Blue Chip at the festival. Let me second your WOW. Feels great, sounds great. Plus, the band goes all the way around my thumb and I never hook the fifth string with my pick.

Forty bucks is a lot to spend on a pick, for sure, but I'm sure not going to lose it or leave it in a pocket!

Whatever it is he makes his picks from, they sure pick clean!

I saw Marc Pruitt of Balsam Range using what I thought was a metal thumbpick at a BG festival in May.......it was a Blue Chip pick which is a stainless steel band with a synthetic polyimide blade double riveted to the band. (see www.bluechippick.net/0. Marc was very high on the pick especially noting the clear, noise-free tonal qualities. The next week I saw JD Crowe using the pick and he had similar comments to Marc's but also noted that it was the most powerful thumbpick he'd ever used. They are "never supposed to wear out or lose their tone". I bought the picks and I like them better than any thumb pick that I've ever used. They're expensive though.

Cheap is not in the Blue Chip category! We used this material all over the aerospace industry and we didn't do cheap! Right Bryan, Steve, Paul?
