OK.....big confession here...did not play for ten days... The fiddle stayed out of it's case. I walked by......many times. It called to me, and I ignored it...
many, many times....ignored it.
and when I went back........
TWO STRINGS POPPED>>> and all strings outa whack!
That'll teach me!
Now that I've gotten things under control, Ive been playing every day, and everyone is behaving.
I wish. No playing for going on seven weeks now. However, I have recovered a little mobility, maybe enough to play my ukelele bass, and maybe my smallest, lightest electric guitar, a Les Paul Jr. But my acoustic guitars and probably my electric basses will be in the cases for at least another month....ugh..
I have been unsuccessful at getting my wife to stop playing piano long enough to get in a little practice on her violin....
Well let's see....we played our "sing-along" on the 26th at my mom's place for about an hour...and then we (Hogpaws and I) played our guitar and mando during their lunch on the 29th for about 30 minutes...that would make it....yep 1 hour and 30 minutes..... (by the way my fingers were raw when I finished the lunch-time "performance"...the mando is really tough on the fingers... can't afford to skip playing for long...)
I actually played a good bit over the holidays, both "practicing" and actually playing little performances for my family and friends who came by. Mostly Christmas carols, but no one really sang along except to Jingle Bells. It was fun to play, though, and I got some compliments that my playing has come along.
