Since I wasn't ever playing my old Korean Aria banjo, I decided to make a gas-can banjo out of it.

You can play it in open positions and slide sounds good. The action gets higher as you go up the neck so harder to play. I have a solution to this but am too lazy at the moment to remove neck, cut, and restring!

@sparks: I was worried when drilling in the top and bottom of the can...was afraid some spark would cause the thing to explode!
