practice time 4 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 2
I have to split my practice time between 2 or 3 assignments a week. I always seem to be behind on everything. Between the Bluegrass class and regular lessons, I can't seem to find enough time to work on all the different things going on. And now we add christmas music to the list. What's a struggling mandolin player to do?

That was the plan, til my son and his wife moved in with us. But now that I think of it, if I stayed home and practiced all day, they might go out and get jobs and move out. What a great idea!!!!!

I've tried that one. They just go in their room, shut the door and turn up the volume on the TV.

We have a new plan, FIDDLE NIGHT. We get the fiddle out and practice in the living room. I fill the dryer(that shares a wall with their bedroom) with towels and sneakers so that noise will disrupt their TV. I'm going to try this next weekend.
