One of the greatest blues guitar players of this or any era died this weekend suddenly at 58. Gary Moore. What a great player. RIP. He was from Belfast and was known best for being in the band Thin Lizzy. TL wasn't to my taste, but his solo blues playing career was exceptional.

Re Josh WHite's guitar video - what a great story and what a legend!!
The video reminded me of several things about him -
- his role in the civil rights movement via music & song
- his famous cigarette standing in the either the guitar headstock or standing upright at the top of his ear as in the video
- and also that his guitar was unique - the headstock was that of a nylon string guitar with machine heads - but the rest was strictly steel string fabrication.
- his son went on to be a fairly good musician - also singing in his daddy's style.
The video had great song clips of Josh White performing.
thanks for the video - edbird - it's a real keeper -& some great memories!!

For all of us gearheads who like to drool over expensive guitars, basses, acoustics, etc (I include myself in this group). It really is the Indian, not the arrow.
Here's an early video of Keb Mo' just killin it'. He's so good. He's playing a Seagull S6 that you can buy in any guitar store for less than $500. Oh, if we could play (and sing) like that!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSEz8A0EnXs
