1926 Gibson Style 2 Tenor Banjo (TB-2) incredibly clean, complete, unmolested, pre-war Gibson classic with 11" head diameter, large hollow hoop/tube type tone ring, 3-ply rim, diamond-hole flange, original Grover Presto Tailpiece, original Grover tuners, Maple neck and resonator with original walnut stain finish, Nick Lucas style neck inlays, rosewood fingerboard, original hard case.
serial # 8439-98 is stamped inside rim and chalked twice, large and small, in the resonator, but there is no Gibson sticker inside the rim. Gruhn Guitars, Nashville, TN appraisal from photos: "...in our opinion, a Gibson style TB-2 made in 1926. This instrument appears to be in exceptionally fine original condition showing no repairs or modifications..."
