TOPIC: Target songs for playing better leads with others

As we discussed in tonight's bluegrass class, you may want to add to this thread the songs that you would like to learn to play, or are struggling with, to get better at playing these with, or in front of, others. The thought is to set up some small focused groups to concentrate on a song or two to gain confidence in playing leads. For me personally, the songs that I have trouble with are

John Hardy
Billy in the low ground
Shady Grove

I need a tremendous amount of work and time playing with others for the following:

Shady Grove
Will the Circle Be Unbroken
Wildwood Flower
Simple Gifts
How Great Though Art
Dark Hollow
I'll Fly Away
Old Joe Clark

It's one thing to be able to play these at home alone and a whole different thing to try these with others

.......I could work on all of them on my fiddle .....on the mandolin Billy In The Lowground and Lonesome Fiddle Blues I should work on to be able to play faster....(and all the notes )
